For most of my life when I desired something I prayed for it. I usually ended with something along the lines of ‘if it is Your Will.’

Over the past couple of years my frame of mind when entering into a prayer request has been quite different.

While I still plead for specific requests, I often feel nudged not to request anything other than for my will to conform to God’s Will and that I might do so with a joyful and knowing heart.

After all there is no fault in His plans, but merely my acceptance and understanding of them.

As strong as my desires might be, if they are not what God has intended, then they are nothing in comparison to His design for my life.
