Stormy Adoration
Lying in bed unable to drift
I gaze on the sound of the mighty thunder
You, who created such power, bestowed life in me
I rest in the sound of lightening more deafening then the rumble and foreboding thunder
For thunder brings shudders to my frame and fear is able to escape
But in lightening’s silence,
I wait…
If I ever forget of Thy existence,
It is in silence I will always remember
Alone in weakness, but surrounded by Your greatness
I wait to hear,
To see,
To feel Your power.
Thank You for Your storm
As much as a childhood fear of thunder still lives in me, I love the sound of storms, the smell of rain, and the gloom of the darkness. So getting to go to Adoration on a stormy day is quite peaceful. Pounding rain drops, running rain streams, thundering skies, and zig zagging streaks of lightening bring me a little joy.
